Northumbria Academic chosen as ‘Super Author’
Northumbria University’s Dr Nasar Meer has been named a ‘Super Author’ by a leading publisher.
During 2013 Routledge publishers are celebrating the work of six key ‘Super Authors’ who have an international standing in the field of Sociology. Previous Routledge Super Authors include Professors Noam Chomsky, Ken Booth, Colin Hay and Sir Lawrence Booth.
Dr Meer has been chosen as a current ‘Super Author’ because of his high citation rates and international recognition of his research excellence on the topics of citizenship, multiculturalism and interculturalism, race and ethnicity, Muslims, identity and the print media.
To mark the ‘Super Author’ accolade, Routledge are making a selection of Dr Meer’s research articles publically free to download to everybody.
Dr. Meer said: “It’s great to have my research made publically available and it’s an excellent indication of the kinds of world class research we do at Northumbria University.”
