International accreditation boosts student career opportunities
Newcastle Business School at Northumbria University has achieved reaccreditation for a further five years with one of the leading international management development networks.
Confirmation from the EFMD Programme Accreditation System (EPAS) ensures business students at Northumbria continue to benefit from some of the best employability prospects in the sector. Newcastle Business School has 21 undergraduate programmes accredited by EPAS – more than other business school in the UK.
The success follows an announcement in April by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) that it was reaccrediting both business and accounting programmes at Newcastle Business School for a further five years. Achieving the double accreditation secures Newcastle Business School’s position among an elite group around the world.
Professor John Wilson, Pro Vice-Chancellor for the Faculty of Business and Law at Northumbria, said: “EPAS reaccreditation for so many courses is a terrific achievement that reflects the quality that lies at the heart of our teaching. It further confirms our position as a leading international business school. Accreditation from leading networks such as EPAS and AACSB is significant for our students because it is recognised as a mark of excellence by employers, and can therefore offer a genuine career edge.”
EPAS is part of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) accreditation programme – the leading international management development network.
