The Vice-Chancellor’s Masters Scholarships are here

Northumbria has launched an exciting new funding scheme to support postgraduate study.

The University is thrilled to announce its brand new Vice-Chancellor's Masters Scholarship Scheme. Northumbria is offering one hundred scholarships worth £2750* off selected full-time on campus postgraduate courses starting in September 2016. Students will also be eligible to apply for the government loan of up to £10,000 to support postgraduate study.

Postgraduate education will take you and your skills to the next level. Whether you want to get the real world experience you need to progress in your career, the research skills to excel in your discipline, or simply want to build your confidence and pursue your passion, a Masters qualification will take you there. Northumbria’s postgraduate-taught courses are co-created with students and employers to ensure you graduate with the skills and attributes needed to succeed. With 96% of Northumbria’s postgraduate taught students going on to work or further study within six months of graduation, you can look forward to a bright and exciting future.

Applicants to the Vice-Chancellor’s Masters Scholarships will go through a competitive selection process including a set question linked to the relevant subject area. You must be hold or expect to achieve a first class or 2:1 honours degree from any UK higher education institution. In order to be considered for a Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship you must have a submitted a masters application and been made an offer.

All applications will be considered by a selection panel, with scholarships awarded based on the information you have provided in the application form. The scheme will close on 1 August and any applications received after this date will not be considered. www.northumbria.ac.uk/vc-scholarships

In the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014, the national assessment of research quality, Northumbria was rated Top 50 in the UK for research power.
