International Laurence Sterne Foundation Conference

The International Laurence Sterne Foundation conference is being held 5-7 November 2015 at Northumbria University, Newcastle, England.
This conference will explore the life, afterlife, and works of Sterne, as well as Sterne within the broader context of 18th-century culture. This focus on Sterne’s context reflects the recent decision to broaden the scope of the Foundation’s journal, The Shandean, which is produced at Northumbria University.

Call for papers
We welcome proposals for papers or panels on any aspect on the life, afterlife, and works of Sterne, as well as Sterne within the broader context of 18th-century culture.

Send abstracts of 200-300 words for 20 minute papers to peterdevoogd@fastmail.fm by 30 August 2015.

Concessionary: £65*
*Concessionary price is available to postgraduate students and unwaged scholars. It also available to early career researchers within five years of the award of the PhD who do not have access to financial support from their home institutions and/or funding body, or whose sources of financial support are limited.
