A leading event for all social workers from newly qualified to senior practitioners as well as commissioners and service providers. Students on social work and related courses are also welcome. Professor Glenda Cook, Professor of Nursing, Northumbria University In her lecture, Professor Cook will illustrate the importance of understanding the needs of older people, highlighting the strategies used to enhance their own well-being which is often unsupported and undermined.
