The Northumberland Early Years Professionals Network has won a national award for excellent practice in team development. The network exists to promote best practice in early years across Northumberland. It is run by Northumberland County Council’s Early Year’s Team, in partnership with Northumbria University, with all activities aimed at promoting the best outcomes for children.

A leading event for all social workers from newly qualified to senior practitioners as well as commissioners and service providers. Students on social work and related courses are also welcome. This event is free for all visitors, it gives social workers and their employers the opportunity to access a day of free training, with the event offering CPD towards ongoing registration requirements.

Professor Glenda Cook, Professor of Nursing, Northumbria University In her lecture, Professor Cook will illustrate the importance of understanding the needs of older people, highlighting the strategies used to enhance their own well-being which is often unsupported and undermined.
